14 November 2007 lalu, Nokia mengumumkan Nseries terbarunya, N82, yang dioptimalkan untuk navigasi, fotografi, dan terhubung ke Internet. Intinya, Nokia N82 dirancang sebagai perangkat yang mampu melakukan hampir semua hal yang berhubungan dengan dunia digital, kecuali mengeluarkan uang seperti mesin ATM.

Kebanyakan fiturnya merupakan pengembangan dari N95, dan ada satu fitur auto rotation yang mirip seperti yang digunakan iPhone, yaitu Anda memutar bodi ponsel untuk mengubah dari landscape ke portrait saat melihat foto.
